Introduce AB patterns with these cards to your students as they learn to copy, extend, and create their own patterns. Students can use Unifix cubes or bear counters to extend the patterns. There are 5 AB pattern cards that require one counter to extend the pattern. This is better for beginners. There are 3 pattern cards suitable for students who have a better understanding of the pattern concept, and they are able to extend the pattern multiple times.
Print and laminate on cardstock. Place the cards in the math center along side with bear counters and Unifix cubes.
