As a certified teacher, literacy specialist, and founder of Akwaaba Akademy, I have dedicated my career to unlocking the world of reading for young learners. With a Master of Science in Childhood Education and extensive daily experience in early elementary classrooms, I know exactly what it takes to guide a child from tracking print to fluent, confident reading. With over 10 years of experience, I have a deep understanding of the education system and know what it takes to succeed academically. My expertise and experience are what sets me apart from other tutors.
I don’t believe in guessing games, flashcard memorization, or the "wait and see" approach. True reading mastery begins at the foundational level—with the smallest blocks of spoken sound, called phonemes.

Many tutoring centers crowd 10 to 12 students into a single room with a generic worksheet. We do things differently. All sessions are intentionally capped at a strict maximum of 4 students per group. Flexible Scheduling
- Our program is intentionally structured as a complete 3-Month Foundational Cycle to ensure your child achieves measurable, sustainable growth:

- Why it matters: Meeting twice a week ensures that the skills learned in the first session are practiced and locked in during the second, preventing the "forgetting curve" that happens with weekly tutoring.
⏱️ 50 Minutes Per Session
- Why it matters: Fifty minutes is the absolute sweet spot for developing minds. It is long enough to dive deep into systematic phonics, decoding, and writing composition, but structured fast enough to wrap up before cognitive fatigue sets in.
🎯 24-Session Minimum Commitment (3 Months)
- Why it matters: True literacy transformation doesn't happen overnight. A 3-month milestone (24 cohesive sessions) gives us the necessary timeline to systematically assess your child's gaps, progress through a full sequence of phonics or writing skills, and build their unshakeable confidence. How Group Scheduling Works
- Select Your Cohort Track: Upon enrollment, your child will be placed into a consistent bi-weekly schedule (e.g., Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday cohorts) for the duration of the 3-month cycle.
- Consistent Peers: Your child will meet with the exact same small group and the same specialist every single session, creating a safe, routine-driven environment where they feel confident to take learning risks.
